An original example, never raced , never down.
The 916 introduced in 1994 had an engine that was derived from the 851 which began life in 1987. The increased displacement and resulting horsepower gains over the ensuing years made the original engine cases fragile. In 1997 Ducati introduced a new engine with stronger cases.
The AMA considered this a new motorcycle and required that twenty-five machines be sold for it to be homologated.
This motorcycle is ONE OF TWENTY-FIVE that were brought into the country for homologation, and is ONE OF THE 10 that Ferracchi sold.
The motorcycle was delivered with both a street legal exhaust system and a Termignoni system with the corresponding e-prom .
The motorcycle comes with complete records including the Dynamometer run that Ferracci did prior to delivery.
Included are the original wheels and tires, which have only been run on the Dynamometer. Marchesni magnesium wheels are on the motorcycle now.
All original parts are included as well as an extra set of body panels.
These bikes rarely come up for sale so here's your chance to own some motocycling history that you can actually ride! A collectors motorcycle..You deserve one of the best and this is it!
